In the coming months, people who don't believe in democracy or your rights will expect you to forego your power and just get over it. They will dismiss you and tell you everything is just fine. Don't forget who you are. You are the product of the first nation based not on tribe or race or monarchy or religion, but based on the idea that we are all equal. You have in your DNA the bold ideals of free people whose forbears struggled and fought and died, not just for the idea of democracy but for a true love and commitment to each other. There are people who want to destroy that love and commitment and make us hate and distrust each other. But we will build a community that resists that effort every day and in every way, and we will win.

The mission of NEBCD is to encourage an educated electorate and get out the vote.
Be a Poll Watcher
Help Assure Elections are Conducted According to the Rules
The primary duty of a watcher is to observe the conduct of the election at the location where the watcher has been appointed. A watcher may point out to an election judge or clerk any observed irregularity or violation of the Texas Election Code.
In order to serve as a poll watcher, you must be certified by a political organization, which then assigns you to a specific polling location, where you present your credentials to an election official.
Poll watching is a vital job, especially in contentious political periods. If you are interested in being a poll watcher, contact one of the following:
