Accomplishments of the Northeast Bexar County Democrats 2008 Campaign Effort

 

 Maintained an active campaign office from July through November 2008

 Conducted campaign training classes for over 200 volunteers and candidate campaign workers

 Recruited and trained volunteers to contact voters through True Blue Action calling program

 Called nearly 5,000 voters through the True Blue Action online calling program

 Prepared and provided lists of thousands of NE voters for precinct chairs and volunteer workers through the Texas VAN program

 Prepared and distributed thousands of flyers promoting the Democratic Party and our candidates

 Distributed thousands of Democratic Party candidate and Vote Democratic yard signs, campaign buttons, T-shirts, caps, pins, jewelry items, posters, bumper stickers and other materials

 Conducted targeted mailings to Democratic activists, newly registered voters, and to triple and double D Democratic voters. The mailings reached over 15,000 NE households.

 Donated $3,850, in amounts ranging from $100 to $500, to 11 constable, judicial and state legislature candidates

 Paid for, prepared and recorded over 176,000 automated phone calls to Bexar County voters delivering the vote Democratic message

 Paid for (along with some financial assistance from the NW Democrats) over $4,500 in Radio Advertising to get out the vote during Early Voting and for Election Day

 Coordinated Election Day activities for 82 polling locations in northeast Bexar County including:

 Worked with Labor to dress the polls with over 700 candidate and vote Democrat campaign signs

 Recruited and trained nearly 100 volunteers to work polling sites on Election Day

 Provided logistical support with campaign signs, literature and refreshments on Election Day through nine area coordination teams
